Crown Legacy FC signs attacker Michael Ayovi

Forward Michael Ayovi, 20, who played with Independiente del Valle in Ecuador, has signed with Crown Legacy FC.

Crown Legacy FC has signed forward Michael Ayovi to an MLS Next Pro contract through the 2027 season.

Ayoví, a 20-year-old Ecuador native, previously played with Independiente del Valle, primarily with the second team. He totaled 19 appearances with Independiente del Valle’s reserve squad, C.D. Independiente Juniors in Liga Pro Serie B, with an assist in 357 minutes since his 2023 debut. The forward played with Independiente’s U-20 side last season, scoring a goal in 124 minutes. 

“We are excited to add Michael to our squad this season,” said Charlotte FC Assistant General Manager Bobby Belair. “Michael is a strong prospect coming from a great footballing environment who will develop well within MLS Next Pro. We look forward to his integration and are excited about his potential.” 

Crown Legacy has an option to extend the deal through June 30, 2029.
