It's Juneteenth week, and there's plenty to do in Charlotte.
There are festivals and other events that mark the national celebration of the last African slaves freed from bondage on American soil. Below are some of them:
Young Moguls Camp
A.C.E. Academy’s Young Moguls camp through June 16-20 at 7807 Caldwell Road, Harrisburg. Camp hours are 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
During the camp, young people will learn about financial literacy in business, how to start a business and will have a chance to explore new careers.
In honor of Juneteenth on June 19, students will host a debate “Is there value in us being connected with our dollars versus does it really matter?” from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. and open to the public.
June 19
Juneteenth at the Gantt

Juneteenth on the Corridor

Juneteenth on the Corridor is a cultural reclamation and a family-friendly homecoming to celebrate freedom and unity.
The festival will include:
• Live performances
