Durag Fest returns to celebrate creativity and culture

DURAG FEST
The sixth Durag Fest has expanded for 2025 with two days of creativity and culture June 21-22 at Camp North End.

The Durag Fest has grown from a local art exhibition into a nationally recognized celebration of Black culture, fashion and creativity.

Since 2018, Camp North End has been the annual gathering spot to celebrate Black expression and check out artists at the festival June 21-22. Dubbed the “unofficial Met Gala of Durags,” the showcase has grown to a two-day festival from 2-10 p.m. across two venues: the Blackbox Theater and The Pine located off Sugar Creek Rail Station.

For tickets, updates, and festival map, visit DuragFestival.com.

Proceeds will benefit the DuGhood Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to empower youth through creativity and innovation. The festival will also feature a fast-paced business pitch competition called "Pop Out & Pitch" that will offer $1,000 grants to students or recent graduates of historically Black colleges. Selected finalists will compete on June 21 for a shot at startup funding and mentorship.

Festival-goers will be greeted by twin stages broadcasting HBCU-inspired runway moments, Live DJs, wave check battles, and shopping opportunities from over 50 Black-owned brands in the Durag Market.

Attendees can choose from General Admission, VIP or Super VIP tickets. Each tier unlocks access to exclusive lounges, beauty bars, professional portraits, Super VIPs, an afterparty bash with gourmet catering.
Blackowned restaurants will fuel the festival, serving everything from soul food staples to viral desserts. Craft beverages and community-centric photoops will also be sprinkled throughout.
