| Charlotte 49ers forward Kameron Lacey earned All-American Athletic Conference after a career season with 25 points, including nine goals. |
Four Charlotte 49ers earned All-American Conference soccer honors in the program's debut AAC season.
Seniors Kameron Lacey and Sean Suber each earned all-conference, while first-year midfielders Brad Dildy and Samy Kolby each earned all-rookie recognition.
Lacey, a senior forward, was named first team All-AAC after putting together a career season with nine goals and seven assists, while appearing in all 16 matches. He tallied a pair of braces in two of Charlotte’s most important games – a 6-1 win against Coastal Carolina and the regular season finale against Temple, to help the 49ers lock down the sixth and final seed in the AAC tournament.
Lacey, who earned second-team all-Conference USA last year, notched a career-high 25 points in 2022, exceeding the 15 points scored last year. He is eight points away from breaking into Charlotte’s top 20 for career points with 48.

Suber, a team captain and Mallard Creek High graduate, made a successful return from a season-ending ankle injury in 2021. The defender helped the 49ers to five clean sheets while conceding just 18 goals in 16 games. He was also solid in the attacking third with career highs in points (10), goals (4) and assists (2). The Charlotte native, who has two seasons of eligibility remaining, also converted three penalty kicks.
Dildy and Kolby also earned all-rookie recognition. Dildy, who started five of 15 games played, notched seven assists and a goal to finish with nine points – eighth-best among 49ers.
Kolby, a Charlotte native who played at Carmel Christian Academy, racked up five assists and a goal.
