A powerful body starts with an empowered mind.
Bre Leach helps others realize their potential and reach the best version of themselves, both physically and mentally. The fitness trainer and wellness coach has a passion for creating healthy lifestyle content that will help others on their health journey.
Leach’s own fitness journey started in grade school, where her two older brothers were constantly motivating her to stay active. Leach was involved in several sports teams during the year as well as summer leagues. At UNC Greensboro, she went on to study kinesiology and exercise science. Throughout her time at school, she founded the Women’s Basketball Club.
“I fell in love with the educational piece of exercise and fitness, so from there, I started to do internships across North Carolina,” Leach said. “My experience working with local businesses and physical therapists helped develop my skillsets to be able to work well with others and reach their fitness goals.”
From there, she started posting her own personal workouts and wellness tips on her Instagram page. As she gained a following, Leach realized the impact her content was making on a wide audience. She wanted to do more to inspire people on their fitness journey, but also wanted to reach more people. Thus her own personal brand, Just B’n Fit, was born.
“I decided to create a personal brand and put a name behind my passion. It’s been an amazing journey,” Leach said. “I have connected with all walks of life, from all different backgrounds and ages. It's all about motivating people to move, but also have fun with it.”
The purpose behind the movement is to shift clients’ mindset and motivate them to take it one day at a time. Hard work and dedication will always bring results.
Leach offers group and individualized training sessions with clients. After the onset of the pandemic, she has had to adapt to keep up with a new virtual world. She meets with clients online for a more personalized experience and keeps the Just B’n Fit Instagram page up to date with weekly workouts. Anyone can check out the page, try a workout, or gain some wellness tips for free.
The Instagram page appeals to a wide audience because it portrays health and wellness as fun and unintimidating.
“When we first shut down during the pandemic and gyms were closing, a lot of people were panicking because they didn’t have equipment at home, or they couldn’t go to a class,” Leach said. “Their routine was broken. I had to make a shift in my own content and remind people they could still move from home. People forget that you can use anything to work out, like the stairs or water jugs as weights. You can make movement whatever you want it to be and have fun with it.”
In addition to her own brand, Leach co-founded Sweat Sisters Unite in Charlotte, a space for Black women to come together and hold each other accountable for their health and wellbeing.
“I got feedback from women of color. They wished they had a group to connect with or that they had a group fitness class to go to with people who looked like them,” said Leach. “We encourage women of color to exercise and to put their health first. We’ve also partnered with different small business owners in the community to host health events, such as boot camps, wellness workshops, mental health panel discussions, and virtual meditation events that allow women to come together and feel supported.”
Just B’n Fit’s Instagram has reached 10,500 followers, but Leach has plans to grow her brand even further. A Just B’n Fit YouTube channel is in the works to reach an even wider audience.
