Erica Campbell adds radio host to a resume that includes reality TV star and recording artist.

Erica Campbell’s taking her talent to the airwaves.

“Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell” debuted May 10 on weekdays from on Praise 100.9 (WPZS-FM). The show, which airs from 6-10 a.m., replaced Yolanda Adams’ morning program.

“I don’t live a life of ‘Oh that’s too much. I’m going to be too tired. I can’t do that,’” Campbell said. “I love, respect and honor Yolanda. She is still a mentor and a big sister to me. We [are] good. She transitioned, and now I’m here with the new show. They didn’t just take her name off and put my name on. It’s a different name. It’s a different show. It’s a different vibe. It’s something new.”

Known for her work with sister Tina Campbell as half of the gospel duo Mary Mary as well as for their reality television series on WEtv and a solo singing career, Campbell knows what it’s like to lead a busy life.

“This is not hard to do,” Campbell said of adding radio host to her resume. “I don’t feel stressed. We’re in a culture where people love to say ‘She’s doing too much. He’s doing too much.’ To whom much is given, much is required. God has given me so, so much, I dare not sit at home and say ‘I need to chill. I just want to be at home.’ I want wherever God wants me to be, and wherever God wants me to be, I will go.”

From gospel and inspirational music to interviews and life principles, Campbell and co-host Arlen “Griff” Griffin have plenty to share on air.

“This is what we want everybody to know,” Griffin said. “We got this job because of the Lord. We didn’t apply. We didn’t go online and say ‘I wonder what they’re doing over there on the radio station. We were blessed with this opportunity. If God charges you to do something, it is not for you to ask ‘Why?’”

Said Campbell: “God opened the door.”

Not to slander anyone, but it would be nice to bring AV and Marcus back on the air. They were very gifted in what they did. Everything is not for everybody! They created laughter when it was time as well as bring forth the word of God with scriptures to back up what was said. Ms. Campbell has her gift as a singer and she is good at that! Everything isn?t for everybody?

Not a fan of this new "what in holy, not!" At 53, I'm so very glad that I can still draw from LWB / 900 Wurd, here in Philli!

I'm also not a fan and I wonder if at 58 years old, it's not geared for my "demographic." It's on in the morning, but I'm not inspired. I will probably look elsewhere for morning inspiration.

I look to 103.9 in the mornings for a little inspiration and encouragement, so far that is something that I am not getting from the show. I read my bible every morning and have my personal time with the Lord before leaving my home. I finally heard the morning prayer by Griff that I had been hearing about and I must say I felt as though it was mockery. I understand that change comes along and yes it is sometimes good, however I am not feeling the show, whose knows, maybe with time it will get better??? I just wonder how many people are feeling what I am or am I the only one?? Something has to change. I love me some Erica Campbell, but the show not so much:( Sorry.. I pray that the Lord leads her and guides her, give her godly wisdom, I especially pray this for her co-host.
