Pretty in Pink

A semi-formal cocktail reception with an elaborate buffet, silent auction, raffle, DJ and live band entertainment will be held at City Tavern Sept. 28, 7 p.m. Proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen Charlotte. Tickets available by phone at (704) 442-4000 or online at city-tavern.com.

Fly for Pink

This event presented by Charlotte Radiology Sept. 29 at 2 p.m. at Flywheel Sports Ballantyne offers a great way for fitness advocates to gear up and break a little sweat in the fight against breast cancer by participating in a Flywheel or FlyBarre class. The entire cost of each class ($30) will be donated to help fund mammograms for uninsured women through the Carolinas Breast Cancer Fund. Limited spots are available by emailing [email protected].

Pink Pint Night

NoDa Brewing Company (2229 North Davidson Street) is kicking off Breast Cancer Awareness Month Oct. 1, 4-8:30 p.m. with a special event featuring a live remote broadcast of 107.9 The Link, music, raffles and food. NBC is also offering two special brews: “Thanks for the Mammaries” and “Kombucca” (a gluten-free and non-alcoholic option with a pink tint). A portion of the proceeds from every beer sold, along with money raised from the raffle and pint glass sales, will go to Carolinas Breast Cancer Fund.

Observe the Pink

Some of the area’s most popular food trucks will gather in the Charlotte Observer parking lot (600 S. Tryon St.) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 4 for a special event featuring games, raffles, local sports mascots and the Charlotte Radiology “Pink Ladies.” A portion of the proceeds from the Observer Pink Paper, food sales and the raffle will benefit Carolinas Breast Cancer Fund.

Chocolate For A Cure

An upscale cocktail reception and program will be held at the Hilton Charlotte Center City Hotel (222 East Third St.) Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. This annual fundraiser focuses specifically on underprivileged and uninsured communities. R&B Diva Kelly Price is delivering the keynote. A portion of proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen Circle of Promise. Visit ChocolateForACure.eventbrite.com for tickets or more information.

Paint it Pink

This 24-minute speed-painting exhibition being held 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 21 at Noda Brewing Company (2229 North Davidson St.) will put artists to the test as they switch canvases every four minutes to complete their masterpiece. All paintings will be auctioned at the end of the evening, along with others from Wine and Design artists.  Proceeds from the auction will benefit Carolinas Breast Cancer Fund.
