CHARLOTTE, N.C. — February 23, 2026 — As Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities expand into high school athletics, many families are navigating complex recruiting decisions, legal contracts, and financial choices without trusted guidance. This March, Wisdom Foundation, Inc.—in partnership with presenting sponsor Huntington Bank—is bridging that gap by bringing collegiate, Olympic, and athletic leadership directly to student-athletes and their parents.

The Foundation’s second annual Access & Opportunity Summit & Business of Basketball Showcase will take place March 11–12 at the historic Second Ward Gymnasium. The event features an elite roster of experts, including:

  • Andrew Givens: Executive Director of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
  • Patrick Britz: Commissioner of the South Atlantic Conference (SAC).
  • Cheryl Littlejohn: NCAA National Champion and Division I Head Coach.
  • Mark Everett: Two-time Olympian and World Championship medalist.
  • Erica Turner: Executive Director of CMS Athletics.

Together, these leaders will guide more than 300 student-athletes (grades 7–12) and their families through the realities of the NIL landscape, scholarship pathways, contract red flags, and the often-overlooked mental demands placed on young athletes.

“Our focus is to provide an environment for high school athletes that gives them access to people and information that doesn’t normally exist for them or their parents,” said Marvin Wilson, Founder of Wisdom Foundation. “We’re not just creating exposure, we’re creating outcomes by helping families understand the system, make informed decisions, and build real pathways for their future.”

Education Meets Elite Competition

The two-day experience pairs high-level basketball competition with "real-world" education. Programming includes:

  • Financial Literacy & NIL: Navigating agents, contracts, and financial pitfalls.
  • Recruiting Pathways: Understanding NCAA and NJCAA eligibility and coach communication.
  • Holistic Wellness: Expert advice on mental health, stress management, nutrition, and sleep.
  • Career Planning: Entrepreneurship and professional readiness for life after sports.

ACC Tournament Week Partnerships

Located just four blocks from the Spectrum Center during the ACC Tournament, Wisdom Foundation has partnered with Marriott Bonvoy to provide discounted room rates for the week of March 11–16. Additionally, the Foundation is offering discounted tickets for ACC Tournament games; interested parties should DM @wisdomfoundationclt for the access link.
