The Charlotte Independence introduced Jack's Brigade as a club membership last week as part of its 2021 season ticket package. |
Jack’s Brigade is not designed to replace Jack’s Militia.
The Charlotte Independence introduced the members club last week when they announced their season ticket prices. The members club name resembles the longstanding supporters group, but the club is quick to point out that one is not designed to replace the other and that a members club is not synonymous with a supporters group. Jack’s Militia, which has never required a fee to join, sold merchandise, such as shirts to purchase flags, banners and other game-day atmosphere elements.
“Going into a new season – with a brand new stadium – it’s a great opportunity for our fans,” Tim Schuldt, Independence president and COO said in a statement. “Jack’s Brigade will welcome all soccer fans—from diehard supporters to people just learning about our incredible game.”
Jack’s Brigade membership is included with season tickets purchased in premium seating, which includes members club seats, VIP overlook and on-field VIP. Membership can be purchased for $39.99 for non-season ticket holders and those who do not purchase a season ticket. Think of it as season perks, such as priority seating, discounts, player meet-and-greets, community service initiatives, etc.
The team’s full list of benefits includes:
- Priority seating
- $80 off Independence and Jack’s Brigade merchandise,
- 10% off souvenirs at home matches
- 16 pre-game tailgates, post-game parties, player meet-and-greets
- Away match watch parties and offers from team corporate partners.
“We recently conducted a significant fan research project with the league, and that has helped guide us as we’ve built the foundation for Jack’s Brigade,” Schuldt said. “It’s our intent for this to evolve into a fan-led and managed members club, with the team coming alongside to support the Brigade and provide exceptional benefits, experiences, and members-only values.”
Preseason begins on March 22 and the regular season begins in May. This will be the club’s first season at the newly renovated Memorial Stadium. They will continue to train at the Sportsplex at Matthews.
