Chocolate fudge.

Kicking off 2019 with homemade chocolate fudge is the definition of delicious. It is simple and scrumptious—just the way we like it. From all of us at The Post, have a happy New Year!


Ingredients


3 ounces cream cheese


2 cups sifted confectioner’s sugar


2 1-ounce squares of unsweetened chocolate


1/4 teaspoon vanilla


dash salt (optional)


Sliver of butter to spread on a cookie sheet to keep the fudge from sticking


Preparation


Melt chocolate on medium heat in a small saucepan

Remove from heat once both have completely melted


Cream cheese until soft and smooth (this can be done with a butter knife for a fantastic wrist workout)


Slowly mix in chocolate


Sift sugar into a separate bowl


Slowly mix in sugar


Mix in vanilla


Mix until well blended (add optional salt)


Grease cookie sheet with butter


Press mixture onto sheet


Place in fridge until firm (approximately 15 minutes)


Slice fudge into squares


Serve with a glass of milk or a cup of coffee
