Psi Mu Zeta chapter of Zeta Phi Beta sorority is doing community service on Martin Luther King Day.

The chapter will hold an elder care community service event on Jan. 16 at Saturn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as part of the sorority’s international Global Day of Service. The Day of Service is part of a yearlong campaign to complete 20 million hours of service leading up to Zeta’s centennial anniversary in 2020.

“Psi Mu Zeta Chapter has a multi-year partnership with Saturn. They feel like family already and we can’t wait to do more for them,” said Shellisa Multrie, president of Psi Mu Zeta chapter. “We serve [the residents] but what they give us is so much more valuable than anything we could ever do for them.”

Chapter members will assist Saturn Nursing residents with the New Year tradition of cleaning house by organizing closets, and a BINGO tournament to close the day.
