Carolina Voices presents Singza! A Musical Soirée!
Second annual fundraiser to be held March 8

Carolina Voices will host its second annual fundraiser, Singza! A Musical Soirée! March 8, 7 p.m. at the historic Palmer Building.

NASCAR broadcaster Rick Allen will be the host for the evening with musical entertainment by Carolina Voices’ ensembles. Guests can also participate in silent and live auctions, interactive games, dancing and enjoy delicious food and drink. 

Carolina Voices was founded in 1953 and serves as an umbrella organization for three distinct choral groups totaling more than 120 volunteer singers.  Membership is by audition, with rehearsals and performances throughout the season.

As part of its mission to promote choral excellence and exposure to the arts, Carolina Voices presents affordable performances in a variety of styles, from a cappella to jazz, as well as educational and outreach programs that are accessible to the entire community.

Executive Director Sue Wheldon said proceeds from Singza! will benefit the programs and services of the organization, including The Sneak Peek Preview performance of the “Singing Christmas Tree” which is offered free of charge to area social service agencies and their clients each year, as well as Carolina Kids' Voices, a summer show choir camp for children in rising first through rising eighth grades.

"We had a very successful event last year and are excited about continuing the tradition of Singza! this season,” said Wheldon. “We have a special night planned for our guests, which includes a variety of entertainment, fabulous auction items and delicious cuisine to make this fundraiser one of the best of the year.”

Singza! will feature a Wine Wall and Restaurant Frenzy. Auction items include unique jewelry, art, spa certificates, fun foodie gifts and more than 20 themed baskets. Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased at (704) 374-1564.  Visit www.CarolinaVoices.org for more information.
