Bridal shows can be a great resource for ideas and inspiration as you make decisions for your big day. In addition to showcasing the latest trends in décor and fashion, bridal shows also provide brides-to-be with opportunities to get the scoop on vendors in their area and often meet the owners face-to-face.

January and February are often popular months for bridal shows, but Varick Renaissance Center is getting ahead of the curve this year, hosting its Winter Wonderland Bridal Showcase Dec. 15.

The showcase will feature an array of vendors live entertainment, a fashion show and prizes – including a chance to win a 2-night stay at Hilton Charlotte University Place.

In addition, attendees will also have an opportunity to tour Varick’s 36,000-square-foot facility and grounds, which boasts of lakefront gazebos for outdoor ceremonies.

“This is an event we have wanted to host for a while so brides can see our beautiful grounds and ballrooms,” said Trish Kulis of Varick. ”We have had so many wonderful weddings and receptions at our center and we just want to share all of the possibilities here with new brides.”

Although the showcase is themed festively for the holiday season, Kulis said the purpose is to provide brides with inspiration for any season.

“Our focus is for brides to envision how beautiful their wedding day will be no matter what month of the year they are getting married,” said Kulis.

Varick is located at 3165 Zion’s Renaissance Lane of Nevins Road in north Charlotte. Admission to the show is $7. Register online at winterwonderland2013.eventbrite.com or call (704) 714-1464 for more information.
