About The Post

The Charlotte Post's service to the African American community dates from 1878. Each week The Post is read by thousands of Charlotte-Metro area residents for the most in-depth coverage of minority issues. As a result, The Post has earned numerous national and local journalism and service awards.

Benefits Of Advertising

  • The Charlotte Post is the oldest minority owned, locally published communication that specifically targets the African American community.  Advertising Age reports the African American consumer market responds more favorably to advertisements in print media geared toward its community.
  • The African American community consists of very loyal readers.  The Ostberg Study has shown that community weekly newspapers remain in the home longer and are re-read more often than dailies. The Charlotte Post is thoroughly read by affluent professionals, community leaders and decision makers of the African American consumer market.
  • Advertising in The Charlotte Post conveys that your company is interested in reaching the African American consumer market.
  • The Charlotte Post maintains quality control in production. The well-organized and clean layout of advertisements and editorial copy make the newspaper appealing to our readers.
