Focus on menís health

Do you know the numbers most important to your health?


A menís health symposium will be held Oct. 13 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3400 Beatties Ford Road from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. The forum is free and open to men 21 and older and includes information on healthy lifestyle choices, screening tests and medical consultations. Screenings for prostate cancer, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and HIV/AIDS are included. Workshops on nutrition and physical fitness will also be held.


Door prizes that include a flat-screen television and gift cards will also be given away at the symposium, which is sponsored by the Friendship Brotherhood Ministry and 100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte.
