Brigida Mack joined WBTV in 2009. She currently co-anchors WBTV’s top rated afternoon newscast, First at 4:00 and reports weeknights for the 10pm & 11pm newscasts.

A native of the Queen City, Mack began her career in Charlottesville at WVIR-TV as a weekend morning anchor.  After that, she spent several years reporting for another Charlotte TV station.

She is a proud alumna of Myers Park High School and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Mack has covered the Virginia Tech shootings, interviewed former President Jimmy Carter and famed actress and national Autism spokesperson, Sissy Spacek. 

She also loves chasing weather and has covered several hurricanes including Isabel, Frances and Ivan as well as an earthquake in Central Virginia.

Mack received an Emmy nomination in 2004 for team coverage of Hurricane Frances.

Her series, ‘Pass 3 On’ was awarded “Best Series” by the N.C. Associated Press in 2012.  Creative Loafing's readers voted her "Best Local TV Reporter", in the magazine's "Best of Charlotte" Awards five times. She is also member of the National Association of Black Journalists.

When she's not looking for the next big story, she enjoys watching her favorite college basketball team, the Carolina Tarheels, working out and spending time with family and friends.
