2010 college football signees by school. The list will be updated periodically, with comments when available.
Fayetteville State
Colon Bailey Jr. (ATH, 5-11, 205, Manteo, N.C., Manteo High) - Played running back, fullback and inside linebacker. Three-starter. Rushed 108 times for 2,002 yards and 25 touchdowns as a senior; 341 career carries for 3,647 yards and 40 touchdowns; 137 tackles. Two sacks and two fumble recoveries in 2009. All-Albermarle team in 2008; Four Rivers Conference player of the year. Manteo High athlete of the year. Two-time team MVP.
Antonio Mayo (K/P, 6-0, 175, Jacksonville, N.C., Jacksonville High) - All-Coastal 3-A conference and all-Jacksonville Daily News first teams; honorable mention all-conference in 2008.
Chris Person (DB, 6-1, 185, Vanceboro, N.C., West Craven High) - All-Sun Journal first team two consecutive years; all-Coastal 3-A conference two straight years; Started at WR and DB; Had six kick returns and two punt returns for touchdowns; 2,000 yards receiving and 20 touchdowns in career at West Craven. Seven interceptions last two seasons.
Shamiir Hailey (RB, 5-11, 175, Monroe, Monroe High) - The Enquirer-Journal's 2009 Union County offensive player of the year. Broke the single-season Union County rushing record with 1,794 yards. Ran for a career-high 305 yards in a win against Piedmont High. Scored 23 touchdowns as a senior.
Donnard Covington (ATH, 5-10, 185, Monroe, Monroe High ) - Four-year starter. Four-time all-Rocky River 2-A/1-A conference team and all-Union County selection. Rushed for 920 yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior; ran for over 1,570 and 24 touchdowns as a junior. Rushed for 200 or more yards five times at Monroe.
Daniel Pinnix (DE/LB, 6-1, 205, High Point, Andrews High) - PAC 6 2-A all-conference selection by the (Greensboro) News and Record as a junior and senior. Can bench press 315 pounds. Totaled 110 tackles (85 solo) and 13 sacks as a senior.
Derrick Washington (DB, 6-0, 165, Winston-Salem, Parkland High) - First team all-Piedmont Triad 4-A; voted most improved player by Parkland coaches. Totaled 64 tackles and two interceptions along with 36 passes for 375 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior.
C.J. Montgomery (DL, 6-0, 305, West Charlotte High) - Two-time all-ME-CA 7 selection; Shrine Bowl pick was a 3-year starter for the Lions.
Kasheem Reid (S, 6-1, 195 Rockingham, Richmond Senior High) - All-Southeastern 4-A Conference; Channel 15 (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) All-Zone team; NCpreps.com All-State team.
Michael Fogg (SS, 5-10, 183, Raleigh, Apex High) - Tri-9 4-A all-conference; team MVP and defensive player of the year in 2009.
Blade Shoop (DL, 6-5, 295, Southern Pines, N.C., Pinecrest High) - All-Southeastern 4-A conference selection as a junior. All-conference as a senior in wrestling.
Hakeem Vinson (DE, 6-3, 250, DurhamMt. Zion Academy) - All-Cape Fear Valley first team selection two straight years; Timed at 4.53 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the 2008 Shrine Bowl combine in Apex; Collected six sacks, 15 pass deflections and a 70-yard fumble return for a touchdown as a junior.
Marvin Crews (FB/HB, 6-5, 265, Brooklyn, N.Y., Hudson Valley Community College) - Played and started at fullback for two seasons at Hudson Valley.
Bryce Williams (LB, 6-2, 215, St. Petersburg, Fla., Mesa Community College) - Teammate of all-CIAA linebacker Marcos Esquivel; One of the top linebackers in the Western States Football League at Mesa.
Kenneth Short (TE, 6-2, 260, Fayetteville Douglas Byrd High) - As a junior had 13 catches for 241 yards and four touchdowns. All-Mid-Southeastern choice and All-Cape Fear Region selection by the Fayetteville Observer.

Dennis Alleyne (WR, 6-3, 180, Winston-Salem, Parkland High) All-conference pick recorded 48 catches for 872 yards in 2009. Lettered in three sports (football, basketball, track).
Ty Brown (FS, 6-3, 215, Claremont, N.C., Newton-Conover High) Associated Press first-team all-state, first-team all-Western Region and all-conference. Collected 83 tackles, eight interceptions (2 returned for touchdowns), seven pass break-ups and three forced fumbles.
Dajuan Calloway (OL, 6-4, 320, Cleveland, Ohio, Glenville High) Associated Press Northeast Lakes All-District first team. Three-year starter. As a senior, graded out at 86 percent blocking efficiency with 12 pancake blocks.
Andre Clarke (RB, 5-10, 220, Mauldin, S.C., Mauldin High) 4A all-state, all-region, all-county. All-time leading rusher at Mauldin High. As a senior, ran for 1,685 yards and 23 touchdowns, averaging 8.9 yards per carry. Team posted a 10-3 record.
Ryker Goodell (LB, 6-1, 220, Woodstock, Ga., Etowah H.S.) Cherokee County co-defensive player of the year. Totaled 101 tackles with six sacks as a senior.
Shaun Millien (OL, 6-8, 350, Roslindale, Mass.) Transfer from Dean College in Franklin, Mass. Two-year starter at Dean, where team won back-to-back conference championships. Selected All-Northeast Conference. All-conference at Catholic Memorial High. Starter on both sides of the ball.
Darren Moore (OL, 6-5, 315, Fayetteville, Westover High) Mid-Southeastern 4A all-conference. Also lettered in track and field.
Rasheen Person (LB, 6-3, 250, Newport News, Va., Heritage High) As a senior, topped team with 94 tackles, including 12 hits for a loss with eight sacks, along with two interceptions. Scored three touchdowns and five 2-point conversions as a short-yardage back.
Demontray Ryland (LB, 6-1, 230, Portsmouth, Va., Norcom High) Two-time First-Team All-Tidewater and All-District selection. Named 2008 Eastern District Defensive Player of the Year. All-Region honoree.
Duval Smith (RB, 5-10, 185, Roswell, Ga., Roswell High) Rushed for 1,119 yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior, averaging 7.0 yards per carry.
Shavarez Smith (WR, 6-2, 180, McDonough, Ga., Henry County High) Associated Press all-state honorable mention, first-team all-region, first-team all-county, Henry County Player of the Year. Selected to the North/South All-Star Game. Collected 32 receptions for 834 yards and 11 touchdowns, averaging 26 yards per catch.
Jordan Toomer (FB, 6-2, 235, Gastonia, Ashbrook High) All-Big South 3A conference. Averaged more than 4 yards per carry.
Chase Tripp (DL, 6-2, 245, Chocowinity, N.C.) Transfer from Winston-Salem State. Played in six games for WSSU in 2009, recording five tackles and a pass break-up as a freshman. Two-time all-area first team pick as a defensive end at Washington High. Topped team in total tackles, tackles for loss and sacks.
Lamar Whidbee (WR, 6-3, 180, Hertford, N.C.) Another WSSU transfer. Started in all 11 games for WSSU in 2009 as a redshirt freshman. Caught 16 passes for 208 yards on the season. Earned all-conference and all-region honors as junior and senior at Perquimans County High. Three-sport athlete (football, basketball, track) in high school.
Winston-Salem State
Jalaquon McNeill (LB, 6-0, 185, Lumberton, N.C., Lumberton High) Led the Pirates in tackles for two consecutive years en route to being named a first-team all-Southeastern 4A Conference as junior and senior. Named conference defensive player of the year as a senior.
Maurice Lewis (RB, 5-11, 190, Lumberton, N.C., Lumberton High) Robeson County player of the year as a senior rushed for 3,405 yards his final two seasons. Averaged over 150 yards rushing per game as a senior. Two-sport star was also a member of the swim team.
Jermaine Kesler (DT, a 6-2, 303, Lumberton, N.C, Lumberton High) Shrine Bowl starter was a two-time 4A all-Southeastern Conference selection and honorable mention all-state. Finished the season with 65 tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble. Kesler chose the Rams over offers from Wingate, UNC-Pembroke and Duke.
Duvontae Covington (DE, 6-2, 285, Greensboro, Dudley High) Played offensive tackle and defensive end in high school. Started all 16 games for Dudley High School en route to helping lead the Panthers to a 14-2 overall record.
Kaleb Carter (OL, 6-4, 280, Florence, S.C., Wilson High) Member of the North-South all-star team helped to lead team to the AAA Lower State, Region VI Conference championship and state title as a junior. Bench presses 275 pounds and squats over 400 and has been clocked in the 40-yard dash at 4.98 seconds. Chose Winston-Salem State over Hampton and South Carolina State.
Anthony Short (RB, 5-8, 175, Matthews, Butler High) Standout on the 2009 4AA state championship team. All-Southwestern 4A and All-region pick is an electrifying threat who can score as a receiver as well as return specialist.
DeAngelo Johnson (DL, 6-1, 280, Charlotte Mallard Creek High) A two-year starter helped the Mavericks win 20 games over two seasons.
DeShean Townsend (QB, 6-3, 210 Fayetteville, South View High) A pocket passer who is athletic and mobile. Also a standout basketball player. Two-time Mid-South Conference offensive player of the year. Received offers from Catawba, UNC-Pembroke and Fayetteville State.
Eric Wolff, (WR, 6-2, 180, Raeford, N.C., Hoke County High) Had 79 catches, 1,219 yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior season for the Fighting Bucks. First-team all-Southeastern Conference, first-team all-state.
Graham Love, (WR, 6-2, 195, Cary, N.C. Panther Creek High. All-Tri-9 Conference pick as a junior and senior. Received offers from Western Carolina and N.C. Central.
Thomas Warren (OL, 6-2, 280, Winston-Salem,Mt. Tabor High) An offensive tackle and defensive lineman who will likely play guard in college. All-Central Piedmont Conference selection.

| wolff is a great player and i seen him play. his route running is extremly outstanding. if a DB is covering him one on one they will have a horrible game. in the middle of the season teams had to double team wolff and he still manage to get the ball and score. |

| Eric WOlff should be the greatest thing to ever happen for winston salem. he has great acceleration and speed great hands and can jump out the gym. |
