Looking for a date for Valentine’s Day? Perhaps you may have some luck at one of the following events:

Annual Best Date Auction

When: Feb. 9, 7 p.m.

Where: Interior Motives (2425 South Blvd.)

What: Bid on a date with one of 23 of the QC’s most eligible bachelors and bachelorettes. The list of participants include Olivia Chisholm of ABC’s “Duets,” Mike of MTV’s “Making the Band” (Day 26); Kendra James of Oxygen’s “Bad Girls Club,” Cross Thompson an Ebony Soul model, acclaimed filmmaker Fred Forte Jr., business owner Kelvin “Fresh” Wright, Charlotte’s 2012 “Model of the Year” Daiza Moore, and CBS radio personality and show producer A Dot. Pre-Dating Speed Dating Event

When: Feb. 13, 8 p.m.

Where: Jackalope Jack’s (1936 East 7th St.)

What: Meet up to a dozen other single professionals face-to-face and get better acquainted through a series of six minute “pre-dates.” To register, visit www.pre-dating.com. Love Sux at Howl at the Moon Charlotte

When: Feb. 14, 7 p.m.

Where: Howl at the Moon (210 E. Trade St.)

Eat, Love, Laugh

When: Feb. 14, 9 p.m.

Where: Wine Up (3306-C N. Davidson St.)

What: A night of love and laughter featuring two poets and a comedian. The laid back atmosphere creates a perfect opportunity to connect with someone new. There will also be an open mic, in case you want to take to the stage and express how you really feel. Also enjoy live music and finger foods.
