Knight, O'Jays kick off summer concert series
PNC Celebrity Series will bring 10 big-name performers to Charlotte

Gladys Knight to kick off PNC Celebrity Series on June 27.

A collaboration between PNC Bank and Blumenthal Performing Arts will bring 10 big-name entertainers to the Queen City.

The PNC Celebrity Series kicks off June 27 with Gladys Knight taking the stage with The O’Jays at Belk Theater.

Other confirmed performers for the series include Boz Scaggs on July 17 and Grammy-winner Michael McDonald on Oct. 9 at Knight Theater.

Tickets for the first three performances of the PNC Celebrity Series are available at BlumethalArts.org, by phone at (704) 372-1000 or the Belk Theater box office.

“We are thrilled to have PNC Bank’s support for this exciting new series that will showcase some of the world’s best artists,” Blumenthal President Tom Gabbard said. “We look forward to a remarkable year for those who enjoy shows features big stars in intimate spaces.”

Along with popular music stars, the series will also draw from comedy, speakers and other artists that have achieved superstar status during their careers.

Additional entertainers will be announced in coming months.
