A reunited Goodie Mob is performing in the Queen City this summer at The Fillmore Charlotte Sept. 5.

It’s gearing up to be a star-studded summer for Charlotte. Everyone from Beyoncé to Goodie Mob has added the Queen City to their tour lineup this year. Here’s a list of some of the season’s hottest tickets.

July 26

Known for his extensive collection mix tapes and multi-platinum studio albums, Dewayne “Lil’ Wayne” Carter is arguably one of the best rappers alive. The Young Money general will be in Charlotte later this month promoting his “I am not a Human Being” album, which released early June. In addition to Wayne, the tour will also feature T.I., 2 Chainz, Future and G-Eazy.

Beyoncé’ is making it known that she is all about bearing children and getting back to business. Perhaps, Queen B. really is on a mission to rule the world. The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour 2013 marks Beyoncé’s first multi-city tour in more than three years. Do you have your tickets?

This year’s Summer Music Fest will be headlined by the soul and funk band Maze featuring Frankie Beverly. What would summer be without an opportunity to join Frankie Beverly and hundreds of other concertgoers in belting out the words to “Before I Let You Go?”

Folks all over the Queen City will be feeling the side effects of Idol alum Fantasia Barrino when she performs next month at the Bojangles Coliseum. The soul singer said her latest album “Side Effects of You” is her most personal to date. Perhaps she’ll shed a few tears during the performance.

American Idol has been the No. 1 entertainment program among Total Viewers for the past nine consecutive seasons. To date, Idol alums have produced 356 No. 1 Billboard hits and garnered nearly 250 million iTunes downloads. Check out this season’s hottest contestants when the tour comes to Charlotte in August.

The Moonshine Jungle World Tour

Aug. 21

Bruno Mars is kicking off “The Moonshine Jungle World Tour” at Time Warner Cable Arena this August. The 13-time Grammy Award nominee will be joined on stage by special guests Fitz and the Tantrums. Mars launched his solo career and quickly rose to stardom as the first male vocalist in two decades to crack the Top Ten with his first four singles.

Sept. 5

Big Gipp, Khujo and T-Mo will be reuniting on stage with Cee-Lo at the general admission, standing-room only venue The Fillmore Charlotte in the NC Music Factory. Alongside OutKast, Goodie Mob was among the first Southern rap acts to attain nationwide recognition, particularly with their classic debut “Soul Food” in 1995.

An evening with Roy Ayers

Known as a man decades ahead of his time, Roy Ayers was one of the most visible and winning jazz vibraphonists of the 1960s, then an R&B bandleader in the 1970s and '80s. The musical legend helped pioneer jazz-funk and has been playing the vibraphone since age 5.
