Welcome back to the Magnificent Seven, Charlotte Christian.

The Knights are fifth in The Post’s weekly Mecklenburg County’s top high school football teams after edging rival Charlotte Latin 38-35 on freshman Wes Medeiros’ 34-yard field goal with 8 seconds left. There was room for a new entry after last week’s No. 7, East Mecklenburg, lost to Myers Park 34-24.

Charlotte Latin, which had climbed to fourth, is now sixth after losing to Christian, which started the season third.

Unbeaten Butler, which had a bye last week, puts its top ranking on the line at East Mecklenburg Friday in a key Southwestern 4A confernce game. No. 2 Independence, a 38-12 winner against Ardrey Kell, is at Providence.
