From covered dish dinners to Charlotte’s iconic Greek Festival, food brings people together. WFAE’s Public Conversations Series explores food’s role in creating cultural identities and facilitating conversation. The discussion will examine food’s role in marking life events and how to preserve its “gathering power” in today’s “fast food society” and busy lifestyles. Panelists and audience members will also share experiences and observation on how gatherings around food impact neighborhoods, workplaces, churches and other community institutions. Free admission; registration requested at wfae.org.
