The Classic International Black Cinema Series - Claudine
Join us at The Gantt Center for a viewing of Claudine. This film is part of our "Black Love in the 70s" dealing with Black romance. (1974) Claudine (Diahann Carroll) tries to provide for her six children in Harlem while on welfare. She has a romance with Roop (James Earl Jones), a cheerful garbageman she meets while working on the side as a maid. www.ganttcenter.org
