The Rosa Parks Farmers Market will be kicking off their third market season on Tuesday, June 5. They are coming back with more food options, a bigger location and better hours! Every Tuesday from June through Sep. community members can visit the market at its new home in the Greater West Charlotte/ Beatties Ford Road Corridor at 1600 West Trade St., Charlotte, North Carolina.

Visitors to the Rosa Parks Farmers Market can expect the same great fresh, local and seasonal produce that they’ve been accustomed to in years past. In addition, the Rosa Parks Farmers Market will offer locally produced and sourced novelty items. Each market will include live cooking demonstrations from area chefs, community pop-ups, music and kid-friendly activities.

The “Double Up Bucks” program for Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cardholders will also return this season. This program provides matching dollars (up to $20 per day) for EBT customers to use towards the purchase of fruits, vegetables and herbs. This program is one of only two in the County and has the potential to increase the food budget by $80 per month for each EBT customer!

The Rosa Parks Farmers Market is managed in partnership by Mecklenburg County Public Health, Johnson C. Smith University, Charlotte Center City Partners, Knight Foundation, Duke Endowment, Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation and the Rosa Parks Farmers Market Community Advisory Council.
