“Children’s Day on the Farm” is an annual family event at Historic Brattonsville that focuses on farm life in the 18th and 19th centuries.  The historical work and play of the children of the Carolina Piedmont are highlighted and a variety of hands-on activities such as candle-dipping, blacksmithing, and cooking are offered.

Spring is a wonderful time to explore the 800-acre living history plantation and visit the newborn lambs and other heritage breed animals. The oxen and draft horses will be out working the fields. Pony and wagon rides will be available for a small additional fee.

Bright Star Touring Theatre will be on site with performances of “Happily Ever After” and “Upcycled Cinderella.”

Food concessions will be available for purchase. Picnic baskets are welcome.
