Time: 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Location: Show map
Discovery Place

Don your flannel shirts and Doc Martens as Discovery Place takes you back to the 1990’s, Space Jam style, for 90’s Throwback Night. Hang with your favorite plumbers on Super Nintendo in a round of Super Mario Brothers or Mario Kart. Sip Liquid Nitrogren wine slushies, and sort through your favorite 90’s CDs for the 90’s CD Shootout. Channel your inner dork on the dance floor for The Carlton Dance Off. Don’t be shy, rock that neon and denim to enter the 90’s Sitcom Costume Contest. Forgot your 90’s gear? Hop in our 90’s Photo Booth for a flashback photo. Then challenge your friends to your favorite bar games, but with a science twist: there’s the new Bill Nye the Science Guy Cornhole and returning favorites, Glow-In-The-Dark Giant Jenga and Catapult Beer Pong.

Science on the Rocks takes place the third Friday. This adult-only monthly series at Discovery Place transforms each floor with cash bars and music from Channel 96.1, 102.9The Lake, 96.9 The Kat and 106.5 The End. Admission is $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Guests can purchase tickets online at discoveryplace.org or via phone at 704.372.6261 x300. Must be 21 to enter.
