At the Hip Hop University, we blend our longtime devotion to academic excellence with the hip hop culture. We focus on teaching North Carolina Common Core as well as using positive and engaging interaction with youth while teaching critical life skills including decision-making, moral reasoning and impulse control. The result is that youth and adults easily gravitate toward the educational process as well as the program because they appreciate and respect the uncanny ability to view the world from the same lens they use. This program is indeed a much-needed change agent for children, youth and families, especially those living in inner cities.
