According to Global Business News ''Companies spend an estimated 36% of their revenues on human capital -- pay, benefits, training, and other expenses related to their workforces -- yet only 16% of the financial executives who participated in a recent study say they significantly understand the return they are getting on this huge investment.'' HR for early stage companies is risky business. Join CLT CEO's; speakers Mark Burgess and Craig Valentine as they lead this month's discussion on ways to navigate around the Top 5 HR Pitfalls made by early stage companies.

Mark Burgess has his BS and MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is SPHR certified and has been in the HR field for over 15 years, including holding roles in corporate training, and HR Manager roles in manufacturing and sales. Mark joined TriNet 7 years ago and serves as a Principal Human Capital Consultant. In this role Mark assists his clients with managing the Human Resources maze of regulations associated with maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Craig Valentine has over 20 years’ experience of business and management consulting. Craig joined TriNet 5 years ago and serves as a Senior Sales Consultant in both the North and South Carolina markets. As a previous business owner, he has extensive experience in strategic initiatives and operational responsibilities grounded in financial and performance management.

Meetings are the 1st Thursday of every month from 7:30 am to 8:30 am; a light breakfast will be provided. There is no cost to attend, however confirmed RSVP is required. Our meetings are exclusive to CEOs, CFOs, CTOs, COOs and Executive Founders. Service providers are not permitted. While networking is encouraged, we ask that attendees only provide business cards upon request.
