Join Sister Gerry Chisolm and the Nubian Rootz Board of Directors as they honor Charlotte's civil riths activist REv. Kojo Nantambu for his lifetime of community service. It will be an evening of celebration with drumming, fashion shows, African cuisine, an African marketplace and guest speaker Dr. Ben Chavis. Doors open at 3:30 p.m., and early arrival is recommended as seating is limited. Cultural attired is suggested. Advance tickets are $30 and available at The House of Africa, located at 1215 Thomas Avenue. Admission is $40 at the door.
