During the lecture “No Longer Just a Dream: Two African-American Commemorative Sties on the National Mall” Charles Davis, Ph. D. will speak about two recent sites, the Martin Luther King Memorial and the Smithsonian National Museum of African-American History and Culture, on the national mall in Washington, D.C. This event, which is part of the month-long Ulysses Festival, is free and open to the public. Davis is an assistant professor of history, theory and criticism in the School of Architecture. He also serves as an adjunct professor of history at UNC Charlotte.
