The 8th Annual Brooklyn Heritage Reunion is a free community event for everyone. The purpose of this reunion is to reunite with Charlotte and former Brooklyn residents, friends, and newcomers to celebrate and reflect on the historical and cultural significance of  Charlotte’s former African-American community known as the “Old Brooklyn Neighborhood”.

Pearl Street Park is the event site since it was located in the Brooklyn neighborhood and was the first park for African-Americans in Charlotte.
